These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SoftPortal (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Use of the Service

You may browse listings, download software, and submit reviews for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to interfere with the Service, attempt to bypass rate limits or access controls, scrape content in bulk, or use automated tools to access the site in a manner that disrupts other users.

2. Software Downloads

SoftPortal aggregates links to software published by third-party publishers. We do not author most of the software listed and do not own the download artifacts. Each download is subject to its own license as provided by the publisher. Before installing any software, you should read and accept the publisher’s license.

While we take reasonable steps to verify publishers and surface trustworthy listings, we make no warranty that any downloaded file is free of defects, malware, or other issues. You are responsible for scanning files and running them in an appropriate environment.

3. User Submissions

When you submit a review you represent that the content is your own, is truthful, and does not infringe the rights of any third party. By submitting a review you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display and distribute the review on the Service. We may moderate, edit for length, or remove reviews at our discretion.

The layout, design, code, and editorial content of SoftPortal are protected by copyright and other laws. Trademarks, logos, and product names are the property of their respective owners. Listings and screenshots are used under fair use or by permission of the publisher.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to: (a) reverse-engineer or probe the Service for vulnerabilities without authorisation; (b) use the Service to distribute malware or infringing content; (c) circumvent rate limits, geographic restrictions, or anti-abuse measures; (d) impersonate any person or entity; or (e) use the Service in violation of applicable law.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoftPortal and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service, including damages arising from software you download through the Service.

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, please follow the procedure described in our DMCA policy.

We may modify these Terms. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
