DMCA Policy
SoftPortal respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects users to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
Last updated: April 2026.
1. Filing a DMCA Notice
To file a notice of alleged infringement, send a written communication to our designated agent (below) that includes all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material alleged to be infringing, with enough detail that we can locate it (for example, the full URL of the listing page).
- Your contact information: full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
2. Designated Agent
Please send notices to dmca@doofer.site with the subject line “DMCA Notice”. We review reports promptly and will remove or disable access to material that we determine in good faith is infringing.
3. Counter-Notice
If you believe content you posted was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice containing the statutory elements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). Send counter-notices to the same address. If we receive a valid counter-notice we may restore the material after ten business days unless the original complainant files a court action.
4. Repeat Infringer Policy
It is our policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts or listings of publishers and users who are repeat infringers.
5. False Claims
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation in a DMCA notice or counter-notice may be liable for damages. Please consider the matter carefully before filing.
