Cookie Policy
Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how SoftPortal uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit the site. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Last updated: April 2026.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They allow a site to remember information across pages and visits. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, and script-based fingerprinting.
2. Cookies We Set
- __Host-SESS — required. Maintains your HTTP session for one hour of idle time. Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict.
- theme — preference. Stores your chosen light/dark mode for up to one year.
- prereq_token / prereq_ctx — required. Used by the download gate to confirm that the same browser requesting a download completed the device check. HMAC-signed, 24-hour lifetime.
- _fp — required. Short-lived device fingerprint used to deter bulk automated downloads.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Third parties we work with may also set cookies:
- Google AdSense — advertising. Google uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visit to this and other sites. Manage your settings at https://adssettings.google.com/.
- Cloudflare — security and performance. Cloudflare sets cookies to distinguish trustworthy traffic from bots.
- proxycheck.io — abuse prevention. Responses are cached server-side; no browser cookie is set.
4. Managing Cookies
Most browsers let you review, delete, and block cookies from the browser settings. Blocking the required cookies above will break features such as downloads and CSRF protection. Blocking Google’s advertising cookies will result in less relevant ads but will not stop ads from being shown.
5. Changes
We may update this policy as our technology stack or partners change. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
6. Contact
Questions about cookies can be sent to privacy@doofer.site.
